Movie Pitch: Clones 2050
Genre: Sci-fi
Changes in Red: Equilibrium:In the year 2050 the worlds top scientists are reaching the end of a 10 year project to clone every single living person in the world. This means that if someone dies they can be brought back to life via their clone.
Disruption:As debate rages about whether this is natural or not, and a group of rebels (seen as outcasts) refuse to be cloned, an airborn alien substance infiltrates the factory and infects the transmitter for each and every clone in factories all over the world, reprogramming them. The clones awake now with the mindframes of the aliens and now wish to overthrow the human race clearing the way for an alien species (unseen) wishing to land on earth after ruining their own planet. Each clone is assigned to kill their equivalent human.
As humans all over the world are slaughtered by their much stronger clones. Raine Zahn (Natalie Portman) and Sabre Nolan (Hugh Jackman) (futuristic names) co-agents for the CIA in California manage to fight back and kill their clones. Opening them apart Raine and Sabre find chips in thier brains. They attach these to their bodies and are able to infiltrate a clone gathering undetected where they find out that for the clones to be destroyed the transmitter in New York needs to be destroyed.
The pair must travel across the country, not knowing who's a clone and who isn't and hoping the chip is enough to protect them. Of course it isn't and Raine and Sabre have many close encounters over the course of the journey. To protect themselves Sabre and Raine move from rebel camp to rebel camp (these places are safe because the rebels do not have clones) meeting some colourful characters along the way.) Throughout the film Raine and Sabre get closer and it is obvious they are falling in love.

Resoloution:
When they reach New York Sabre and Raine recruit the massive rebel camp there to rise up against the clone army protecting the factory.
During the showdown Sabre and Raine's rebooted clones come back to fight them. Raine is killed by her clone and in a cruel twist of fate the clone leaders ask Raine's clone to shoot Sabre, as they can tell he is in love with her. But the clone has inherited Raine's feelings and her love for Sabre is too strong so she cannot do it and instead helps him take down the rest of the clones and destroy the transmitter. When the other clones die Raine does not because her strong feelings have broken her free from the tranmitter's influence.
Restoration
The transmitter is destroyed and the clones die. A damaged earth seeks to rebuild itself after the thousands of deaths but celebrations happen all around for the end of the crisis. The last scene is of Sabre and Raine Clone getting engagedin a romantic place (possibly Paris.)
Influences:I, Robot
The Island
Spiderman 3
Narrative Techniques:
Suspense-The whole movie is suspensful and the characters are constantly on the run from danger built up by music
Red Herring-When Raine is killed by her clone, the audience think she will no longer have feelings for Sabre but are proved wrong
Binary Opposites-Good vs Evil, Male Hero vs Female Hero, Human vs Clone, Promises of Utopia by government (clones meant to help) vs Dystopia the situation creates, Rebel Camps vs Built up Futuristic World, The White House as a force for good vs White House as a force for bad.
